Pledge-making Meeting of UAWK Members


Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) held a pledge-making meeting at the Kuksabong Revolutionary Battle Site on April 24 to mark the 92nd founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA).
Prior to the meeting, the participants made a study tour of the Kuksabong Revolutionary Battle Site.
Yun Chol, vice-chairman of the C.C., the UAWK, read out a resolution.
The resolution said that President Kim Il Sung founded the KPRA, the first revolutionary armed forces of Juche type, on April 25, Juche 21 (1932), thus putting an end to the history of national sufferings and greeting the new day of national liberation.
It called upon all the officials and members of the UAWK to firmly arm themselves with the tradition of loyalty to the leader, the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and revolutionary optimism displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and to attain without fail the goal of socialist rural construction set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea, true to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
It stressed that all the people should turn out as one in the struggle to attain the goal of grain production, aware of the important responsibility that they have defended the outpost of the revolution where the prospect for the improvement of the people's living standard, state's existence and the bolstering of the national power is in store.
It called for adding eternal brilliance to the tradition of loyalty displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners in the on-going general advance for the comprehensive development of socialism under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
Then followed speeches.
