Achievements Made in Field of Forestry

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the field of forestry are making substantial achievements in implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on steadily increasing the forest resources.
Officials of the Ministry of Forestry and the provincial forestry management bureaus have worked out realistic plans for afforestation after taking into account the areas for planting trees and characteristics of topography and created and protected forests in a scientific and technological way.
The Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau completed the design for planting trees according to the characteristics of topography and secured millions of saplings to be planted this year by its own efforts.
Similar successes are witnessed at the Kanggye and Tongsin mine timber production stations, Songgan Forestry Station, the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau, etc. -0-
