Chinese edition of “Kitabi-Dede Gorgud” epos, the written Azerbaijani antique monument and Oghuz-Turkic legend was presented at the Azerbaijani embassy in Beijing.

The presentation saw Chinese scientists, philologists, students who spoke of the role of the epos in literature of the Turkic peoples, including the Azerbaijani people, about the history of researches of the legend at world level.

Azerbaijani charge d'affaires in China Metin Mirza spoke of this grandiose historical-literary, heroic m0nument reflecting high patriotism, historical past of the Azerbaijani nation, the worldview of the Oghuz Turks, their moral values, customs and traditions.

The diplomat in particular, noted that initiated by national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev the 1300th anniversary of `Kitabi-Dede Gorgud` epos was celebrated all over the world in level of UNESCO, a feature film was screened and Dede Gorgud’s statue was erected in Baku.
