Kazakhstan is Germany’s main trading partner in Central Asia. In the future, countries will expand the horizons of cooperation, especially in trade and economic sphere. This was discussed at the 19th meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club. The conference was attended by German businessmen, experts and the Kazakh delegation. Kazakh delegates told the participants about the conditions created for foreign businessmen in Kazakhstan. Free economic zones, tax incentives and preferences, everything provides a favorable business climate in Kazakhstan. German entrepreneurs raise great interest towards cooperation. This is evidenced by the number of participants: the meeting was attended by more than 100 businessmen and investors from across Germany.

We discussed the terms and specific proposals. I would like to stress that Kazakhstan is an important partner for Germany in the Central Asian region. German businessmen are very interested in cooperating in various areas, particularly, in logistics, infrastructure, renewable energy, engineering and agriculture. At the Expo, we will offer our know-how and technological solutions.

In the past 4 years, Kazakhstan and Germany have implemented 19 major joint investment projects worth 2.4 billion euros. Today, Kazakhstan accounts for almost 90% of German exports in the Central Asian region. Delegates stress, both countries are the major trade and economic partners.

The Kazakh-German relations have a positive dynamics at the political level and are highly dynamic in the economic sphere. Kazakhstan is Germany’s key partner in Central Asia and Germany is one of the leading EU trade partners for Kazakhstan. Germany is one of the world’s largest economies. Kazakhstan is currently developing its economy aimed at entering the top 30 leading countries.

The Berlin Eurasian Club has been operating for almost five years. During this time, the organization has become an important platform for discussion of topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union.
