AmInvest Named 'Malaysia's Best Investment Management Company' for 5th Consecutive Year

KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 (Bernama) -- AmInvest, AMMB Holdings Bhd's funds management arm, has been named 'Malaysia's Best Investment Management Company' for the fifth consecutive year by World Finance at its 2016 Investment Management Awards in the United Kingdom recently. "It is a tremendous honour to receive this award for the fifth consecutive year, a true testament to our in-house investment expertise and capabilities built over more than 35 years of growing our investors' investments in all market conditions," said AmInvest Chief Executive Officer, Maznah Mahbob, in a statement Monday. Maznah said since 2010, AmInvest’s total assets under management had been recording an average growth of eight per cent annually, while its syariah-compliant business had registered an average growth of 19 per cent over the same period. "Today, AmInvest manages assets worth around RM36 billion (about US$9.01 billion) while the syariah-compliant's AUM accounted for about RM7 billion (about US$1.75 billion), with more than 50 per cent investment were invested in foreign assets," she said. Moving forward, Maznah said, the company would continue increasing its global reach through ways which included offering and promoting investment strategies that could deliver better risk-adjusted returns and consistent returns with low volatility. -- BERNAMA
