Azerbaijan agrees to slash oil output by 35,000 bpd

Baku, December 10, AZERTAC Azerbaijan has agreed to cut its oil output by 35,000 barrels per day as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is meeting with countries outside the group in Vienna to agree on a pact to cut oil production. Non-OPEC countries agreed to cut oil production by 612,000 barrels per day, the Nigerian Ministry of Petroleum Resources twitted. According to the tweet, Russia agreed to cut oil production by 300,000 barrels per day, Mexico by 100,000 barrels per day and Kazakhstan by 50,000 barrels per day. Azerbaijani energy minister Natig Aliyev is attending the meeting.
