Bali Posts Increase In GRDP

Denpasar, Bali, Nov 22 (ANTARA) - The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Bali has tended to increase indicating healthy growth of world famous tourist island province. The GRDP of Bali reached Rp21.35 trillion on current prices in the third quarter of 2012 from Rp20.59 trillion in the second quarter and Rp18.74 trillion in the first quarter, Head of the regional statistic office (BPS) I Gede Suarsa said here Thursday. He said the GRDP on constant price rose from Rp7.79 trillion in the second quarter to Rp8.12 trillion in the third quarter of the year. The hotel, trade and restaurant sector remains dominant contributing Rp5.76 trillion to the GRDP on current price in the third quarter in the second quarter of last year, up to Rp6.18 trillion in the second quarter of 2012 and to Rp6.43 trillion in the third quarter of 2012. The second largest contributor to the GRDP is the agricultural sector accounting for Rp3.6 trillion in the third quarter of this year , up from Rp3.53 trillion in the previous quarter. Based on constant prices, the contribution of the hotel, trade and restaurant sector was worth Rp2.69 trillion in the third quarter of 2012.
