Iflix Signs Partnership With Smart Axiata To Provide SVoD Service In Cambodia

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- iflix, the world’s leading subscription video on demand (SVoD) service, has launched its service in Cambodia following the signing of a three-year exclusive partnership with the country's mobile network, Smart Axiata (Smart). In a statement Monday, iflix said, consumers could now sign up for a complimentary one-month free trial via iflix’s website or by downloading the application to their phones or tablets and gain unlimited access to the world’s best television shows, movies and more on every device they own, with no credit card required and no obligations. “Smart also introduces new weekly and monthly iflix data plans, Smart StreamOn 2 and Smart StreamOn 8, which allowed subscribers to enjoy streaming and entertainment experience, including a voice-activated short message service and data bundle,” it said. ifix Cambodia/Myanmar Country Manager, Adeana Greenlee, said the service would redefine how consumers in Cambodia experience entertainment through a seamless mobile experience. “By providing a new platform for local talent and building a product that’s better than piracy, ifix is committed to growing and supporting the Cambodian film and television industry,” she said. -- BERNAMA
