iMoney To Offer Insurance Products Soon

By Zairina Zainudin KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- Malaysian-based financial comparison website developer, iMoney, is planning to offer insurance-related products into its website portfolio in the near future, said Group Chief Executive Officer Lee Ching Wei. He said the initiative was part of the company's expansion plan to strengthen its position in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. "The area of expansion that we are looking at is to launch new insurance products as it offered a lot more opportunities," he told Bernama. Besides insurance, Lee said the company planned to launch another two to three different product categories to cater to the demand for convenient website experience. Founded in 2012, iMoney is an independent, Multimedia Super Corridor status company that helps consumers compare and apply online for financial services like credit cards, mortgages, personal loans and government servant loans. Paired with a call centre, iMoney helps consumers choose a product that's best fitted for their needs and apply for it, digitally. Asked on the possible venture into a new country, Lee said there was no plans yet as iMoney wanted to focus on enhancing customers' experience in current markets. "We provide comparison across products like credit card, personal loan and broadband, so a lot more work needs to be done in enhancing the customers' experience," he added. -- BERNAMA
