Iran Exports Raw Materials, Intermediate Goods

Tehran, Oct 18, IRNA - Almost 70 percent of Iran’s exports constitute raw materials as well as intermediate and capital goods, the head of the Import Department of Iran Customs Administration said. Foroud Asgari added that by launching the website for cargo declaration, the period of goods clearance have been reduced from 26 days to six. “The website aims to assist customers, facilitate goods clearance and reduce customs problems,” he said, adding that it will help reduce clearance formalities and save time. Asgari said owners of goods can conduct all customs formalities such as documentation, cargo declaration, authentication and other procedures through the website. As the government has ratified policies for ending economic recession, it must make efforts to pave the way for implementing these policies./end
