Iran-Turkey Trade Exchange Hit $17.5b

Ankara, Sept 29, IRNA – The value of trade transactions between Iran and Turkey hit $17.5 billion in the first eight months of current Iranian year, started March 20, 2012. The figure had a 60.77 percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year, thanks to a 3.7-percent increase in Turkey's exports to Iran. The two countries trade exchanges worth $16.51 billion in 2011. According to Turkey Statistics Office, the Islamic Republic of Iran is considered as the second export market for Turkey after Germany./end
