Jakarta, June 25 (Antara) - Indonesia`s benchmark stock index rose 33.87 points in the opening trade on Tuesday after undergoing strong pressure on Monday.
The index of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) rose 0.76 percent to 4,463.32 points with index of 45 most liquid stocks rising 1.18 percent to 732.80 points.
Samuel Sekuritas` analyst Adrianus Bias said technically there was still room for the domestic shares to rise after correction on Monday.
"Among the stocks having the potential to grow are cement, construction, property, banking and consumer stocks," Adrianus said.
However, minimum positive external sentiments would put a brake on the rise in the prices of domestic shares, he said.
e-Trading Securities` chief researcher Betrand Raynaldi predicted the the BEI index would hover around 4,450-4,600 points on Tuesday.
Regional markets such as Hang Seng recorded a 0.39% fall in index to 19,891.07 points with index of Nikkei-225 up 0.83 percent to 13,176.02 points and that of Straits Times rising 0.73 percent to 3,096.32 points.
