Kazhydromet plans to create specialised marine station in Kazakh section of Caspian Sea

Kazakhstan, Astana, March 15 / Trend D. Mukhtarov /
Kazhydromet plans to create a specialised joint maritime station in the Kazakh section of the Caspian Sea, Kazhydromet spokesperson Ayman Karabalayeva told Trend.
"For efficient coastal and deep-water hydrological observations it is planned to create a specialised integrated maritime station in the Kazakh section of the Caspian Sea. Its task will include supervising the entire network of hydrological observations at sea," Karabalayeva said.
In addition, she said, it is planned to establish a network of coastal and island marine hydro meteorological stations and posts, as well as automated buoy stations in the Caspian Sea.
"Kazhydromet intends to renew its observation of deep-water sections from on board a marine hydro graphic vessel," Karabalayeva said.
Kazhydromet is a large scientific and production enterprise of the Environment Ministry of Kazakhstan with an extensive infrastructure. More than 3000 specialists at almost a thousand observation points carry out round-the-clock monitoring of the environment: land, air and water.
