Malaysian Investors Invited To Seek Opportunities In Cambodia - Envoy

SEREMBAN (Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia), July 13 (Bernama) -- Local investors, especially from the textile industry, are invited to seek business opportunities in Cambodia as the country offers huge potential. Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia Hasan Malek said there was vast opportunities for local investors to establish partnership with Cambodian textile entrepreneurs. "Cambodia has recorded an amazing growth of about seven per cent last year, and for me, this country is an investment destination with its own attractions," he told reporters here Wednesday. Hasan said there were more than 100 Malaysian companies operating in Cambodia, mostly in the banking, construction, agriculture and textile sectors, which positioned Malaysia as the third largest investor after China and South Korea. The Kuala Pilah Member of Parliament also said, at present, there were some 2,000 Malaysians living and working in Cambodia. -- BERNAMA
