Mlabs' Unit To Collaborate With China's Red Dragon Media

KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 (Bernama) -- Mlabs Systems Bhd through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Multimedia Research Labs Sdn Bhd (MRL), has entered into a collaboration agreement with Beijing’s Red Dragon Media Ltd to create international intellectual properties (IPs). In a filing to Bursa Malaysia (Malaysia’s Stock Exchange), Mlabs said through the agreement, Red Dragon Media would bring innovative IPs to China and Malaysia for the expansion and association with Malaysia's media to research and share new IPs. Red Dragon Media will also build up local creative teams, create pipelines and talent with international presence via an office in Malaysia and look into building up local cultural projects to drive tourism growth and international interest in local projects. MRL will also be providing up to 20,000 sq ft office space with the necessary technology and equipment to realise this opportunity, Mlabs added. Established in 2010, it said Red Dragon Media specialised in creating extraordinary computer animated imagery, stereoscopic video games and has started work on its own IP projects to produce feature quality animated movies and television shows. -- BERNAMA
