Nov Palm Oil Stocks Up 5.18 Pct To 1.66 Mln Tonnes

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's total palm oil stocks in November rose by 5.18 per cent to 1.66 million tonnes against 1.57 million tonnes recorded in October. In a statement Wednesday, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said, crude palm oil (CPO) stocks increased by 6.56 per cent to 897,872 tonnes in November from 842,620 tonnes in October. Stocks of processed palm oil improved by 3.6 per cent to 758,012 tonnes in November versus 731,494 tonnes in October, MPOB said. On production, it said, November CPO output declined to 1.57 million tonnes from 1.68 million tonnes in October. Palm kernel output slipped to 365,728 tonnes in November compared with 400,125 tonnes in October, it said. On export, the board said, the offtake of biodiesel in November surged to 13,568 tonnes from 77 tonnes in October while palm oil slipped to 1.37 million tonnes compared with 1.43 million tonnes in October. It said palm kernel oil export fell to 73,981 tonnes in November from 93,257 tonnes in October. Palm kernel cake export eased to 196,582 tonnes in November from 219,417 tonnes in October and oleochemicals shrank to 218,143 tonnes in November from 236,657 tonnes in October. -- BERNAMA
