Paraguayan Minister of Finance Calls on Qatari Businessmen to Invest in His Country

Doha, November 08 (QNA) - Paraguay's Minister of Finance Santiago Pena called today on Qatari businessmen to visit the country to identify the investment opportunities available. This came in a statement released by the Qatari Businessmen Association, after holding a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Francisco Barriocanal. The meeting took place on the sidelines of their visit to Qatar to discuss bilateral relations and the means to enhance them. The Minister of Finance reviewed a number of the investment opportunities available in his country. He focused particularly on the agricultural sector where there are huge amounts of land available. There were also investment opportunities in the renewable energy field, the minister added. For his part, Chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qasem Al-Thani said the visit was to discuss enhancing cooperation in the trade and investment fields and opens the door for further cooperation in the future. His Excellency stressed that Qatari businessmen should seek to know about the investment opportunities available in Paraguay. (QNA)
