Prince of Songkla University ready to move economy

SONGKHLA, May 13 (TNA) -- Prince of Songkla University is prepared to display its strength on several pieces of research and move the country’s economy in line with the government’s policy on Thailand 4.0 and digital economy, said the University’s rector Associate Professor Chusak Limsakul. Its readiness comes in the wake of a planned visit to the southern province of Songkhla by Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha on May 24 to inspect progress in the South on his government’s policy on Thailand 4.0. Gen Prayut is also scheduled to inspect research pieces made by the university during its establishment in the past five decades, especially in agricultural, marine food, bioenergy and medical sectors, said Dr Chusak. According to him, the university is also the sale centre for agricultural products and safety food and is chosen earlier by the provincial public health to be the market model in Songkhla. (TNA)
