Qatar Exchange Index Drops 81.13 Points This Week

Doha, June 30 (QNA) - Qatar Exchange index lost 81.13 points (-0.81 percent) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 9,885.22 points. Trading value during this week increased by 4.15 percent to reach QR 602,327,025.58 compared to QR 578,308,587.91. Trading volume increased by 20.45 percent to reach 18,694,365 shares, as against 15,520,800 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 9.27 percent, to reach 10,419 transactions as compared to 9,535 transactions. Market capitalization fell by 0.87 percent to reach QR 532,704,248,446.83 as compared to QR 537,365,700,568.05 at the end of previous week. The banks and financial services sector led trading value during this week, accounting for 36.89 percent of the total trading value, industries sector accounted for 25.31 percent. The real estate sector accounted for 11.02 percent, and consumer goods and services sector, which accounted for 9.59 percent. The banks and financial services sector led trading volume during this week , accounting for 33.17 percent of the total trading volume, Industries sector, which accounted for 19.70 percent. The real estate sector accounted for 17.20 percent, and telecoms sector accounted for 14.40 percent. The banks and financial services sector led trading number of transactions during this week with 32.82 percent of the total number of transactions, Industries sector, which accounted for 24.51 percent. The real estate sector accounted for 14.32 percent, and consumer goods and services sector, which accounted for 9.74 percent. 11 companies of the 44 listed companies ended this week higher, while 32 fell and 1 company unchanged.. Gulf International Services led trading value during this week accounted for 10.75 percent of the total trading value, QNB ,which accounted for 8.72 percent. The Dlala Brokerage & Investment Holding accounted for 6.40 percent. (QNA)
