QIIB Receives 'Best Growing Qatari Bank in Banking Card Industry in 2016' Award

Doha, April 26 (QNA) - Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) has bagged the award for the 'Best Growing Qatari Bank in the Banking Card Industry in 2016', instituted by Visa International for banks achieving the highest growth rate in the card sector in countries where they operate. QIIB Chief Executive Officer Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei, received the award from General Manager, Visa in Qatar, UAE and Pakistan Ibrahim Arjouz, during a ceremony held at the QIIB headquarters in Doha. Al Shaibei expressed pleasure at QIIB winning the presitious award from a highly reputable company such as Visa International, which he said "reflects the success of the strategic short-term plans implemented by the bank in various fields, especially the area of cards, which is witnessing a significant and remarkable development." While bestowing the "Best Growing Qatari Bank in the Banking Card Industry in 2016" award on QIIB, Arjouz said: "Visa International congratulates QIIB for the outstanding success achieved in the field of banking cards in 2016.
