Romania Calls For Investment In Iran Energy, Petrochemical Sector

Tehran, Oct 24, IRNA -- A member of Iran-Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group Abbas Fallah said on Tuesday that Romania is eager to make investment in Iran energy, agriculture and petrochemial sector. He told IRNA Romania is willing to revive its historical relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Pointing to the parliamentary friendship group’s meeting with the Romanian Ambassador to Tehran Christine Theodoresko, Fallah said that Romania and Iran have longstanding cooperation in different fields of interest. Underlying expansion of economic ties, he said that Romania is willing to initiate cooperation with Tabriz Tractor manufacturing company and that the Ambassador met East Azarbaijan province governor general afterwards. The lawmaker said Theodoresko called for sending Iranian university students to Romanian Universities to continue with higher education studies on oil, gas and petrochemical industries and make investment in those sectors. Fallah said that Tehran-Bucharest parliamentary friendship group and the Ambassador reviewed the grounds for economic cooperation and the issues consistent with Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and Romania’s next parliamentary election as well./end
