Secretary-General: GECF Ministerial Meeting in Doha Well Prepared

Doha, November 17 (QNA) - Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Seyed Mohammad Hossein Adeli said that all preparations were made to ensure the success of the 18 GECF ministerial meeting which kicked off in Doha today. In his speech, Adeli said that this meeting is a special one and comes at a particular year, at a time when energy and gas markets in the world are changing rapidly. Under the chairmanship of HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, the President of the 18th GECF ministerial meeting, the Forum, he said, has doubled its efforts in order to find ways to create a common understanding among Member States in relation to the global performance of the natural gas market, and identifying obstacles in order to better address them. The GECF Secretary-General added that the Forum intensified its efforts to monitor market and provide its daily performance review, along with developing a long-term strategy and the outlook of international gas forum in 2040.
