Selangor Keen For Greater Engagement With Taiwanese Universities, Says Mb Azmin

SHAH ALAM (Selangor, Malaysia), March 8 (Bernama) -- Selangor is keen to have greater exchange and mutual engagement in research and technical advancement with universities and educational institutions in Taiwan, says Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) Mohamed Azmin Ali. He said the state was willing to learn from Taiwan's experience in the field of technical and vocational education in emerging industries besides sharing their expertise in smart industries. "Taiwan and Selangor share a long history of mutual and close cooperation in the vital areas of trade, commerce and industrial relations. "In particular, we also highly value investment and cooperation in the key areas of technology and pharmaceuticals," he said during a courtesy call by a delegation from Tainan City, in Southern Taiwan, here Wednesday. The menteri besar said he would visit Taiwan next month to further strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation further between Selangor and Tainan City.
