Thai air force to aid farmers by offering free selling space

BANGKOK, Nov 13 (TNA) – The Royal Thai Air Force will open its sports stadium in Bangkok to provide local farmers with free space to sell their crops to customers directly from Nov 25 to Dec 5. Also, participating farmers will get free accommodations and crop transportation to the event zone at Thupatemi Stadium in the capital’s Don Mueang district. Rice prices in Thailand hit a 13-month low earlier this month, affecting farmers in one of the iworld's largest rice exporters. The move is aimed at helping local farmers, who are suffering from low crop prices, in line with the policy of Air Chief Marshal Chom Rungsawang, the incumbent air force commander-in-chief. (TNA)
