Al Jazeera Children's Channel Brings Variety of TV Shows during Ramadan

Doha, July 10 (QNA) - Al Jazeera Children's Channel (JCC), a leading edutainment channel brings a unique variety of television shows during the Holy month of Ramadan. Produced in-house with great attention to story-telling and animation, these shows cover a wide range of subjects relevant to the young Arab generation. Every show is designed to be interactive and reflective of JCC's strategy to provide high quality edutainment, while ensuring it brings the audience closer to Arab values and culture. While JCC has acquired and adopted several shows to suit an Arab audience, JCC has used its superb in-house studios, talent, and technology to deliver outstanding and world-class productions. The new line-up includes Baad Al Tarawih, Tijan Al Nour Holy Quran Recitation Contest, Hezarfen, Min Qossass Al Tabeen, Qisas Al Insan Fil Quran and the new comic series Shams W Rami. Both JCC and Baraem will exclusively air the new series Uncle Mosleh's Tales. Uncle Mosleh's Tales Will be telecasted on both, JCC and Baraem. Uncle Mosleh will in a unique manner bring puppets and human actors to tell a compelling story. The show narrates stories in a charming atmosphere that will widen children's horizons and stimulate their imagination. Uncle Mosleh's Tales aims to revive and appreciate the art form of puppetry; a form much appreciated and enjoyed by children. Baad Al Tarawih A daily show with live broadcasts from the Katara Cultural Village in Doha. The show will feature glimpses of Ramadan practices in Arab homes from around the world. Highlighting health, culinary, and socio-cultural topics; the show will host distinguished and renowned guests, including a renowned psychologist who will discuss concerns faced by Arab children, and methods to mitigate these concerns using their skills and abilities. Tijan Annour JCC's latest version of its Holy Quran Recitation contest requires children to recite select verses from the Holy Quran to a very prestigious and international panel of judges. Through this successful competition, JCC each year helps lay the foundation for wider acceptance and use of classical Arabic among today's young generation. Shams W Rami A two-character show that relies on mime and gestures instead of words to present a comical approach to every-day life situations. Each episode ends with a lesson that the young audience could easily understand and adopt. Qisas Al Insan Fil Quran Is an animated high-definition rich and heartening TV series which is inspired by the epic tales of the Holy Quran. The central character of the show, narrated by Yehya El Fakharany is a sea sailor, who tells stories of hope and promise to a young stowaway on his ship. The stories include popular stories including Dhul Qarneyn, Nimrod and the Story of Al Khadir among others. (QNA)
