AMARTUVSHIN PERFORMS AT VALENCIA OPERA HOUSE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A soloist of the State Academic Opera and Ballet theatre of Mongolia and the state Honored artist Mr E.Amartuvshin has performed in Spain. By invitation of the “Valencia Opera House” he played in the “Rigoletto” opera by Giuseppe Verdi at the “Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia” on November 10-24. He had been scheduled to sing a part of Rigoletto but acted as a count Monterone due to some changes in the schedule. Mr Amartuvshin has been successful this year, for example, he won a first place in the “The Placido Domingo's Operalia” international competition, named after Placido Domingo, in Beijing this summer by singing an aria of Rigoletto. Then, he played as Onegin at the Mongolian State Academic Opera and Ballet when it was opening its 50th season by the “Eugene Onegin” by Tchaikovsky. No doubt that Amartuvshin will amaze the audience again by his “Rigoletto” on December 15 at the State Scademic Opera and Ballet theatre. The Valencia Opera house is one of the famous opera houses in the world. In October 2005 the Valencia Opera House was officially opened by Queen Sofia of Spain. It is named for the Queen as el Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia. The opera house was designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava who was actually born in Valencia. Ch.Enkhtuya
