Cultural events to be held for diplomatic anniversary of Mongolia and China

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A plan to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relation between Mongolia and China was signed by the heads of state of Mongolia and China during the Belt and Road Forum held last April. A series of humanitarian and cultural events will be held on from August 30 to September 6 in Ulaanbaatar city. Today, on August 21, officials from the Chinese side presented about the planned events.
More than 390 delegates from China are expected to arrive in Mongolia for the events aimed at developing the bilateral ties of Mongolia and China and strengthening people-to-people connections. The program of the celebration includes over 20 events of eight types, including circus and wushu performances, painting and photography exhibitions and sports tournaments.
Program of celebration events under the theme "Knowing China better":
August 30-31. Rainbow of Friendship concert at the Central Palace of Culture
September 5. Circus and wushu performances at the National Circus of Mongolia
September 2-6. Photography exhibitions “70th anniversary of the People’ Republic of China”, “Our Friendship” and exhibition of arts works about Mongolian horses and exhibition of Chinese embroidery
September 5. Opening of Chinese reading room at the Ulaanbaatar University
September 2-6. Movie screening at Tengis, Urgoo, Gegeenten and Icinema movie theatres
September 2-4. Food events of the Hebei province and Inner Mongolia of China at Novotel Hotel.
September 3. Presentation on tourism cooperation of Mongolia and China
September 3-5. Free medical examinations by doctors from Inner Mongolia at some state hospitals
The cultural days are co-organized by Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Cultural Department, Embassy of China to Mongolia, Press department of the State Council of China and Press department of the People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China.
