Dubai's Expo 2020 Yacht True North' flies flag at DP World's Caucedo Port

Dubai, Feb 27, 2013 (WAM) - DP World Caucedo, the Dominican Republic's primary port, has welcomed "True North", the 70-foot yacht that embarked on a circumnavigation of the globe last summer to raise awareness for the UAE?s bid to host the 2020 World Expo in Dubai. A special reception at Caucedo was held for True North whose voyage reflects the UAE's Expo bid theme of Connecting Minds, Creating the Future?, and aligns with DP World’s programme for promoting the bid through its family of 30,000 people working in over 60 terminals worldwide. DP World is a premier partner of Dubai’s Bid for Expo 2020 and is committed to showcase the UAE's capabilities to host this significant event using its global geographical presence to support the bid. Group CEO, DP World, Mohammed Sharaf, said: "As the Expo 2020 bid committee visits the UAE on a fact finding mission, we are pleased to be able to highlight the awareness of Dubai’s bid gaining attention around the world, including at our terminal in the Dominican Republic.
