Face 2015 A Platform To Share ASEAN Arts And Cultures

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 (Bernama) -- The Festival of ASEAN Cultural Expressions 2015 (FACE 2015) will showcase the ASEAN arts and cultures to the world and establish friendship among member countries. Malaysian National Culture and Arts Department deputy director-general Mohd Razy Mohd Noor said FACE 2015 aims to improve awareness and understanding of the ASEAN arts and cultural heritage. "We want to enhance the ASEAN cultural heritage to all segments of society, especially the youths. "FACE 2015 will place a wide range of cultural activities under one roof so that visitors can easily approach and appreciate the ASEAN arts and cultures," he told press conference here, Wednesday. Mohd Razy also said FACE 2015 would promote the 'ASEAN Village' concept and feature performing arts, traditional games and Visual/Handicraft Art. A total of 84 participants will be involved in FACE 2015, a project under the ASEAN Committee for Culture and Information (ASEAN-COCI). More than 20,000 visitors are expected to attend FACE 2015 at Nu Sentral from Oct 15 to 21. --BERNAMA
