Indonesian Singer, Ariel Will Publish A Memoir On Life In Prison

By Ahmad Fuad Yahya BANDUNG (Indonesia), July 24 (Bernama) -- Thankful for his release during Ramadhan, Ariel Peterpan says he will complete a memoir on his experience of more than two years in Kebun Waru Prison. Ariel or real name Nazriel Irham, 31, said after a short rest for peace of mind, he would probably launch the book in the middle of Ramadan. "Many people want to know what I did for two years while in prison and also what was done by Peterpan members between 2010 to 2012. "This book will comprehensively record all that. I knew who my real friends are while in prison. "Prison made me wiser man. I also found positive things in life," he told a press conference after breaking fast with fans and orphans at a hotel here, Monday. The parole was granted after Ariel completed two-thirds of his three and a half years jail term for distributing pornographic video in 2010. The distribution of two pornograpic videos believed to involve himself and two women, Cut Tari and another believed to be his girlfriend Luna Maya. Ariel and Luna Maya did not confess they were involved in the pornographic videos but Cut Tari admitted she and Ariel were involved and openly apologised for her action. -- BERNAMA
