KL IFF Themed "Hakuna Matata" To Feature Latest Works Of 45 Designers

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) themed 'Hakuna Matata', which will be held at Hotel JW Marriott here over five days from Monday, will feature the latest works of 45 top designers in the region, including Singapore and Indonesia. The festival's founder Raja Rezza Shah Raja Zurin told Bernama here on Sunday that he expected a turnout of about 8,000 guests this time around and that on Thursday, there would be a fashion show for the public beginning 10.30am. He said local top designers featuring at the festival included Tom Abang Saufi, Farah Khan, Radzuwan Radziwill and Melinda Looi. He added that the theme "Hakunamatata" which means "don't worry" was chosen to sent a message to non-Muslims not to fear Islam because the religion stressed a lot on the aspects of love. IFF which was launched in 2006 has held shows in various locations including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Astana (Uzbekistan) New York), Monte Carlo, Singapore, Jakarta and Bandung. This year, shows were held in Manila (February), London (April) and Bali (July). -- BERNAMA
