Minister of Culture Attends Closing Ceremony of 1st Cultural Programme in Japan
Doha, June 12 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari has attended the closing ceremony of the first cultural programme in Japan, organized by the Youth Activities and Events Department at the Ministry of Culture recently, in order to get acquainted with all aspects of the Japanese culture including the language, history, society customs and traditions of the Japanese people.
Director of Youth Events and Activities said during the ceremony that the Department will seek in the coming period to organize many diverse cultural programmes to develop the skills of the Qatari youth, pointing out that a study is currently underway for the organizing of new programmes in many countries to inform young people on new cultures, especially after the success of the Japan trip in achieving its objectives. He added that the Department will invite young Japanese to visit Qatar to get familiarized with the customs, traditions and heritage of the country in the framework of cultural exchange.
He added that the Department seeks to develop youth programmes and events that fit young men and women in various fields and various sectors both inside the state and abroad.
For his part, Media and Cultural Affairs Attache at the Japanese Embassy praised the Qatari-Japanese relations in all fields, especially in the cultural sector. He pointed out that the Japanese embassy in Qatar is opening its doors for learning about the Japanese culture, noting that it received the Qatari youth delegation before heading to Japan to brief them on the Japanese cuisine, language and the most important tourist areas.(QNA)
