Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra Performs "Violin Showpieces" in Katara

Doha, February 29 (QNA) - Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra will perform "violin showpieces" next Saturday evening, 3rd of March, at Katara Cultural Village. The performance will feature the guest Czech violinist, Jiri Vodicka with the guest conductor Andreas S. Weiser. The orchestral programme will feature violin pieces for the Italian composer Gioachino Rossini "Overture to William Tell", the Hungarian composer Johannes Brahms "Hungarian Dance No.1" and that of the Italian composer Verdi " Ballet Music from Aida" along with other four renowned Gypsy music pieces. The orchestra will put on show its next performance on the 10th of March featuring the Lebanese Oud artist Charbel Rouhana as a guest artist at the World premiere concerto for the Egyptian composer Abdullah El Masri. Jiri Vodicka is a violinist at his early twenties who became a soloist at Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra in Czech. He participated regularly at the orchestral performances of Prague Philharmonia and Prague Symphony Orchestra in 2008 and won the first prize at the "Young Concert Artist Competition” in Leipzig, Germany.
