Sharjah International Children's Film Festival 2015 - "More than just films"

SHARJAH, 19th October, 2015 (WAM) -- From Digital Graffiti to gesture-activated games, young and adult visitors to the Sharjah International Children’s Film Festival are simply spoilt for choice.
The activities are all taking place at the Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, where the third edition of SICFF is being held from October 18th to 23rd under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs.
A photo-booth with a green screen and a 'selfie' camera are available on site so that visitors may take home a souvenir of their visit to this year’s SICFF. Visitors can also send the pictures to themselves or share them on social media.
For the more artistically inclined, a digital graffiti wall allows visitors to pick up a digital spray can, select colours, stencils and styles, and create art pieces, literally on the spot. The beauty of the digital canvas is that it can not only be enjoyed by passers-by, but can also be printed directly from the screen or shared on social media.
Several gesture activated games and activities are also part of the side-line fun at SICFF. The interactive games include body movement paint, body-activated video games and a special LED motion capturing photo area where visitors makes shapes with lights in the air which are simultaneously captured on camera.
Visitors to the activities area can also find out more about the offerings of the New York Film Academy in Abu Dhabi and can purchase merchandise or donate to support The Big Heart Foundation. – Emirates News Agency, WAM - http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395286891874.html
