FM: The Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership will address the issues of neighboring countries and find appropriate ways to achieve them

Baghdad / NINA /- The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, confirmed today, Wednesday, that holding the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in its third edition will address the issues of neighboring countries and find appropriate ways to achieve them.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Hussein met, yesterday, Wednsday , Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto, on the sidelines of his participation in the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, which is being held in Baku from 5-6 July 2023, and during the meeting they discussed the most important issues of common concern, and ways to enhance cooperation in all fields.

The minister stressed, according to the statement, that Iraq seeks, through the initiatives it proposes and its participation in international forums, to be a source of stability, and to find sustainable peaceful solutions between countries in order to put an end to differences and conflicts and end them, in a way that serves the strengthening of international peace and security.

He pointed to the holding of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in its third edition, which will deal with the issues of neighboring countries and find appropriate ways to achieve them, which are aimed at maintaining regional and international peace and security.

The minister also indicated that Iraq now plays an important and essential role at the regional level in the region.

For his part, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister expressed his country's desire to enhance economic cooperation and cultural exchange and to further strengthen bilateral relations at the multilateral level, pointing to the need to work on investing in economic relations between the two countries through OPEC, the group of non-aligned countries and other international organizations./ End
