FM Confirms The Importance Of Developing Cooperation Between Baghdad And Paris
Baghdad / NINA / - Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of developing joint cooperation between Baghdad and Paris.
Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said, in a statement: "Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, and during the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop them in various fields, especially economic, investment, cultural, security cooperation, and the fight against terrorism.
He added, "The meeting also discussed the results of the recent visit conducted by the Iraqi delegation headed by Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, which included the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding in combating corruption, recovering Iraqi funds, protecting antiquities, supporting scientific research, and training diplomats."
