Foreign Affairs Undersecretary participates in Negev Forum

New York, Sept. 22 (BNA): Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, led Bahrain’s delegation at the Coordination Committee of the Negev Forum, on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78).

The committee reviewed the progress made in implementing the programs of the Negev Forum's six working groups, which focus on food security and water technology, health care, clean energy, tourism, education and peaceful coexistence, and regional security.

The Undersecretary affirmed Bahrain's commitment to enhancing cooperation with member states at the forum to promote peace and security regionally and internationally, expressing pride at co-chairing the healthcare and regional security groups with the US.

He underlined the kingdom’s support for enhancing regional integration, in implementing the Abrahamic Accords and the Negev Summit's outcomes.
