Agitation Activities Encourage Campaigners for Recovery from Natural Disasters

Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- Creators and artistes from central art troupes and squads are waging frontline-style agitation activities in the areas for recovery from natural disasters, in hearty response to the appeal made by the Workers' Party of Korea to everyone to turn out in the 80-day campaign. Artistes from the Phibada Opera Troupe, the National Theatrical Troupe and the National Acrobatic Troupe aroused builders' revolutionary and patriotic enthusiasm in the campaign by waging frontline-style agitation activities in construction sites for dwelling houses in Unchon-ri and Komdok area of Tanchon City. Lengthy epic poem "Mt Paektu" and other poetical works encouraged the combatants who will take the lead in the on-going 80-day campaign. Members of the Workers' Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea began a performance in Sinpho City to encourage the soldier-builders. Put on the stage were numbers such as letter reading and male solo "Yearning" reflecting the noble ideological and mental world of the Korean people. They were highly applauded. At the rehabilitation site in Orang County creators and artistes from the art squad of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League encouraged the combatants to make miracles and labor feats through their art performance. Put on the stage were such numbers as agitation poem "The Party calls us, let us turn out in 80-day campaign!" and male chorus "At a Go". The performance given by members of the art squad of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers who went to Hochon County helped the combatants cherish the immutable truth that glory and happiness are always in store on the road of following the Party. Officials and composers of the Ministry of Culture and writers of the Central Committee of the Writers Union of Korea are making vigorous creation activities at the rehabilitation site in Komdok area. -0-
