Al-Araji To The Commander Of NATO Mission; Iraq Refuses To Use Its Territory To Attack Any Country

Baghdad / NINA / - National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji affirmed Iraq's refusal to use its lands, airspace and waters as a launching pad for any aggression against any country. The media office of the National Security Adviser stated in a press statement: "Al-Araji received the commander of the NATO mission in Iraq, Lieutenant General Michael Anker, and during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance security and stability in the region, and the support provided by the NATO mission to Iraq in the field of advice and training." Al-Araji said, according to the statement: "Our duty is to protect Iraq and keep it away from any regional conflict."
