Al-Jadaan Participates in 23rd Arab-German Business Forum

Riyadh, October 28, 2020, SPA -- Minister of Finance, Acting Minister of Economy and Planning, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan participated in the 23rd Arab-German Business Forum, held virtually from 26-28 of October, and organized by the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He affirmed that 2020 is one the most challenging years for governments, economies, and individuals. In his opening remarks, Al-Jadaan said that despite the largest crisis ever witnessed by the world since the Great Depression of 1930s the international community, led by the G20, responded swiftly and significantly with multiple measures to protect lives and livelihoods. Minister of Finance pointed out that the G20 injected over $11 trillion into the global economy to contain the pandemic's impact. The G20 also pledged over $21 billion to bridge the short-term financing gap in global health to support the COVID-19 pandemic fight. Al-Jadaan expressed his appreciation to the Forum organizers, adding that the forum is an important platform for the Arab and German business communities. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the forum's partner this year, as the forum contributes to providing the appropriate framework to enhance mutual relations between businessmen from both sides. --SPA
