Al-Mustafa Int’l University calls for reaction against ‘Holy Spider’ cast, crew

Qom, IRNA - Al-Mustafa International University in a statement slammed production of derogatory movie ‘Holy Spider’ and called for taking legal action against cast and crew. Behind the scenes of the blatant insult, the hostile policies of Zionism can be seen, which is aimed at overthrowing the Islamic sanctities in the eyes of individuals, especially the younger generation, and weaken their religious beliefs, the statement reads. Al-Mustafa International University condemned the production and screening of this anti-Islamic and anti-Iranian work, which is desperately trying to present an inhuman image of Iranian society with a distorted narrative by insulting religious sanctities. Earlier, Ayatollah Qorbanali Dorri Najafabadi, Vice-President of the Ahl Ul-Bayt Global Society on Thursday issued a message condemning the display of the “Holy Spider” film at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. The cleric said that the display of the film was an insult to the Shia people and their eighth Imam, Imam Reza (AS). In his message, Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi denounced the film for showing an anti-Islam image of the Iranian people and called it a plot hatched by the enemies of Islam. He stressed that such plots cannot affect the Iranian nation's respect for the Prophet Mohammad's Ahl Ul-Bayt, especially Imam Reza. Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
