Assets of ex-Thai Cabinet members, senators declared
BANGKOK, July 17 (TNA) - The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) declares assets and liabilities of Cabinet members of the previous Thai government of ex-prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra and ex-senators, one year after their term ended.
Twenty-four former Cabinet members of the Yingluck administration have reported their assets and liabilities, except former interior minister Charupong Ruangsuwan.
Former deputy prime minister Pongthep Thepkanchana is on top of the wealth list with his assets totally worth over 2.9 billion baht, a 1.2 million baht increase after leaving his position.
Former deputy finance minister Tanusak Lek-uthai has the smallest wealth of 1.4 million baht and is debt-free.
Among the 150 former senators whose term ended on May 23, 2014, Pilaipan Sombatsiri, who is now a member of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), is the richest with 1.32 billion baht worth of assets. (TNA)
