Astana to form its crisis and psychological centres
Astana, September 25, 2009 (Khabar) - The construction of 7 orphanages will soon be launched in Astana with another 29 to be built within the next few years. The city administration invited businesses to participate in the project which is to solve the issue of school shortages. Such a statement was made at a sitting of the National Commission for Women Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan, by deputy Astana mayor, Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov.
On the outcomes of the meeting, the city administration was advised to boost women and children protection from domestic violence, to create a crisis and physiological centre in the city, and to organize the implementation of gender and social and demographic policy.
Gulshara Abdykalykova, Minister for Labour and Social Security of RK:
- There is a great ideology work underway now. However, there are some practical issues which we pointed out in our set of recommendations. We will carry on our cooperation to develop and solve those issues.
