AZAL held presentation of "Boeing-787-8" of Dreamliner in Rome and Moscow

Baku, April 10, AZERTAC As earlier reported, the “Azerbaijan Hava Yollari” CJSC (AZAL) has carried out two flights along the route of Baku-Rome-Baku. The "Boeing-787-8" of Dreamliner is one of the most modern air liners. The liner uniting the last technical achievements allows to carry out flights on more remote distances. As a result of application of the latest technologies the plane has been equipped with comfortable conditions for passengers. "Boeing-787-8" differs from other aircrafts both on technical characteristics, and on quality of service. Its weight is easier in comparison with similar planes. After the plane landed in Rome, participants of the presentation ceremony examined the aircraft, made pictures. The participants wished "Boeing-787-8" successful flights. The representative of "Azərbaycan Hava Yollar ı" in Italy Ibrahim Seyidov noted expansion of communications between the two countries, informed on indicators of "Boeing-787". The Ambassador of Azerbaijan in this country Vagif Sadykhov noted that the transport sector is of great importance for the Azerbaijan Republic. Acquisition of the new plane testifies to importance of development of the transport sphere for the state of Azerbaijan. "Azərbaycan Hava Yollar ı" takes an important place in economy of the country. Today bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Italy in political, economic, cultural and other spheres intensively develop. Therefore, the presentation of the Boeing-787 plane in Rome isn't casual. Emphasizing that direct flights between Azerbaijan and Italy are the evidence to the sustainable development of bilateral ties, the Ambassador expressed confidence that soon will start the flights Baku-Rome-Baku and Baku-Milan-Baku. ** AZAL made its first flight to Russia on a new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The first in the CIS "Dreamliner" flew on the route Baku - Moscow and landed at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, which is still the only one in Russia serving flights operated by such type of aircraft on the regular basis. Speaking at the presentation of Dreamliner in Moscow, the vice-president of Silk Way Group Eldar Hajiyev informed on indicators of "Boeing-787", its future routes. Currently four daily flights are operated from Domodedovo on the route Baku - Moscow - Baku. And from May 1, 2015 the AZAL company will launch another four daily flights and two flights that will run from Thursday to Sunday. "Azerbaijan Airlines" is the partner of Moscow Domodedovo Airport since 2003. During this time, the airline transported around 2.3 million passengers. On average, the Domodedovo airport services are used by 527 customers of AZAL daily. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is the national airline of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's largest airline. Its fleet consists of more than 30 aircraft, both passenger and freight. It operates regular flights to Domodedovo (Moscow) since October 2003. Boeing 787 Dreamliner - long-range wide-body aircraft, designed to carry 242-323 passengers at a distance of 15 372 km. Boeing 787 is mainly made of composite materials. Through the use of innovative technologies aircraft provides economical effectiveness, fuel efficiency and a new level of comfort for passengers. The engineers of Boeing design center in Moscow participated in the creation of this aircraft. AZAL will hold next presentations of the "Boeing-787-8" of Dreamliner in London and Paris.
