BACA president attends exhibition opening

Cairo, Feb. 19(BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquity (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa attended the opening of the exhibition of late Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Marzooq in Cairo. BACA President was accompanied by House of Islamic Antiquities Chairperson Shaikha Hessa Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. Organised in cooperation with the Heritage and Arts Society, the inaugural ceremony was attended by Egyptian and Cultural and media figures. Dr. Heba Abdulaziz Al-Farooq presented the collectibles of her grandfather Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Marzooq, the first researcher to graduate with a PhD degree from Farooq 1 University in 1948, to Alexandria Library, which will issue digital copies. Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa commended Egyptian cultural and intellectual legacy, stressing the importance of conserving the written and artistic works of prolific erudite like Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Marzooq.
