BACA President receives Kuwaiti ambassador

Manama, Sept. 9 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shaikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah. They discussed ways of boosting cultural relations between both countries. Shaikh Mai underscored strong cultural and civilizational ties binding the Kingdom of Bahrain with the GCC countries, stressing the great support provided by Kuwait to cultural work in Bahrain. She also briefed the Kuwaiti ambassador on the cultural movement, pointing out the near opening of Expo 2020 Dubai in which Bahrain will participate with a national pavilion. She also wished Kuwait a successful participation in the international event. For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador underlined the importance of preserving cultural and civilisational achievements in developing nations, expressing constant readiness to cooperate with BACA to achieve joint projects that meet the aspirations of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
