Bahraini-Sudanese relations hailed

Manama, Jan. 11 (BNA): Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain Abdulrahman Khalil Ahmed praised strong and growing relations between Bahrain and Sudan thanks to the leadership's constant keenness to further cement them. In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he wished the Bahraini people more development and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. The ambassador said the Sudanese embassy in Bahrain would celebrate on January 16 the 61st anniversary of Independence Day, adding that the occasion is dear to all the Sudanese people as it has a great significance and represents an opportunity to recall the sacrifice of the fathers and forefathers. He noted that celebrating the Independence Day this year coincides with declaring the end of the conflict in Darfur after meeting the requirements of Doha Peace Agreement. He also pointed out success of the national dialogue in paving the way for a constitution to shape the present and future of Sudan.
