Bangkok to host int'l cancerology forum in August
BANGKOK, February 12 (TNA) - Thailand's four leading medical institutions will jointly organize an international cancerology forum in Bangkok in August 2019, in which Thai and foreign medical experts take part to share their experiences in the treatment of cancer through advanced technologies.

Hospital, Professor Dr.Piyamitr Sritara, Dean of Mahidol University's Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and Professor Dr. Suttipong Wacharasindhu, Dean of Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine, held a joint press conference in the capital on February 11 to announce that their four institutions will organize the international cancerology forum at the Centara Grand at Central World Hotel in the heart of the city during August 8-9, themed "New Frontiers in Cancer Combat".
The four senior medical professors said that the two-day international forum is aimed not only to honor Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn for her interest and competency in cancerology, but also to become a platform in which international medical experts present relevant projects and share their knowledge and experiences in the cancerology, including those conferred with the honorary Nobel Prize or the Prince Mahidol Award.
The four senior medical professors stated that comprehensive and proper knowledge on preventing, screening and fighting against cancer, as well as on newly-developed cancer treatment medicines or medication and the robotic application to the surgery of cancer patients will also be publicly shared at the forum.
Besides, activities on creating the public awareness on preventing cancer and consuming food and herbs with high antioxidants to protect themselves from cancer will be part of the two-day international forum. (TNA)
