Better Conditions Provided for Schoolchildren in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK has provided the schoolchildren in Ungchon-ri of Pongchon County with better educational conditions and environment. More than 100 schoolchildren in this mountainous village had had difficulty in attending school because of a lake made during the waterway construction. The province drew up a project for establishing a branch school in the village for the pupils attending Ungchon Senior Middle School and building a commuter boat for the junior and senior class students, and took necessary measures to carry out the project, concentrating all efforts on it. After all, the branch school appeared in a sunny place near the village and a commuter boat was successfully built in a short period of time. On Tuesday, the branch school opened and the commuter boat started its service. -0-
