Canadian Foreign Ministry Delegation Visits DPRK

Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Foreign Ministry of Canada led by Sarah Taylor, director general for North Asia and Oceania at Global Affairs Canada, visited the DPRK from Dec. 13 to 15. During the stay, the delegation paid a courtesy call on Han Song Ryol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK and met with Choe Son Hui, director general for North American Affairs of the Foreign Ministry to discuss the issue of developing the DPRK-Canada relations in conformity with the aspiration and demands of the two peoples and the matters of mutual concern including the issue of Rim Hyon Su, a Canadian citizen. The delegation had a meeting with Rim Hyon Su who was sentenced to life hard labor for state subversion. -0-
